    Lose all bar data after reconnect to IB

    When I shut down IBTWS and log back in....I then reconnect NT to IB feed and all my daily charts lose all bars, just a blank screen. I reloaded all historical data and still nothing....ideas/help?

    Hello Stok,

    What instrument and interval do you have selected? (Example: AAPL 5Min, ES 12-12 150 Tick, etc..)

    Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      Hi JC,

      Right now it is daily chart of EURUSD and AUDUSD. No errors on screen, but yes in the logs:

      Error plotting indicator 'ZigZag'. Please check the 'OnBarUpdate' or the 'Plot' method: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

      It gave me 10 of that exact error right after IB data feed comes on at 4:15CST for Forex. IB was running and connecting before that, I shut it down at 4:05pm and re-logged in at 4:10pm.

        Hello Stok,

        You may try to delete the "_Workspace.xml" file and start from a fresh workspace and open up a chart.

        * Shutdown NinjaTrader
        * Go to (My) Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> workspaces
        * Right click on "_Workspace.xml"
        * Select Delete
        * Go to (My) Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> db
        * Right click on the folder "cache"
        * Select Delete.
        * Open NinjaTrader
        * Connect to data provider
        * Create a new chart
        * Note: This will not delete any saved workspaces that you have, only make NinjaTrader startup with blank workspace.

        Let us know if the issue still persists.

          OK, I did that and loaded a new chart. Opened fine.....loaded my template and same problems (this is on the AUDUSD). I loaded my workspace and the EURUSD loaded fine (with the template) but the AUDUSD does not. It seems to be a problem with the template. No log errors and no errors on screen. Ideas?

            Hello Stok,

            If the EURUSD loads fine it may not be the template. Could you can reset all of your default instruments by following the steps below.

            * Disconnect for all data providers
            * Go to the Control Center -> Tools.
            * Inside the Options window select the Data tab
            * Press the Reset Instruments button
            * Restart NinjaTrader
            * Note: Any changes made to original instruments settings will be reset.

            Also, make sure that the Data Series parameters for the EURUSD and AUDUSD match.

            Let us know if the issue persists.

              What I did was rebuild the template on the AUDUSD and it is running fine so I will see what happens this afternoon when I reconnect to IB. If that fails, I'll try your steps and report back. Thanks!
