    Windows 8

    Would NT7 be stable with non-issues with the new Windows 8 OS that just came out?
    I was going to upgrade my Windows 7 to the 8 version shortly, but wanted to know if there are any issues?

    Hello Ellah,
    Thanks for your post.

    I am not aware of any known scenarios while running NinjaTrader 7 in Windows 8 and it should run fine with Windows 8.

      NT7 Doesn't recognize the Microsoft net 3.5 framework on install, therefore NT7 won't install with Windows 8. Tried twice yesterday.

        Hello Vegasflyer,
        NinjaTrader requires .Net Framework SP1. Please make sure you have installed the correct version.

        Please remove the existing .Net Framework from "Add/Remove programs" in Control Panel and try downloading .Net Framework SP1 from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=22

          Did you have any luck on this yet?

          I still haven't upgraded Windows8 yet...
          Not sure if I want to at this point, until I get confirmation from one of us NT home gamer users here

            The fix worked, as far as Windows 8... It startups fast but I only installed it because Windows 7 was "broke" and Windows 8 was $40. I wouldn't recommend 8 at this time.

              curious, if Windows8 fix worked and its fast, why wouldnt you recommend it at this time?
              Issues with NT7 with Windows8 on your end?

                I've only had it installed for 1 week and its one of three home computers that I use. I only use the computer as a chart display for now two monitors instead of three because the USB video provided by triton technologies will not work with W8. I had to reinstall NT7 and TOS and any and ALL other programs I had in there previously, many of my personal work was non vital but - I knew that it wouldn't transfer so I backed up - It's 2013 soon,I'm done with having to reinstall and setup my desktop and they took the start menu away with no option to recalibrate. It's built to compete with an apple tablet but it doesn't.

                    Hello,

                    Windows 8 is not currently officially supported however we have conducted extensive internal testing and found no issues of any kind specific to this operating system. It is likely that official support for Windows 8 will be announced soon however I'm not able to provide a time table for that change in status currently.

                      interactive Brokers and Ninjatrader with windows8

                      Hi,

                      I have an issue connecting to Interactive B on windows 8. everytime I chose connect to IB it asks me to login again and again..It never connects...I have tried to use the 32 bit version of Ninja 7..nothing is solving my issue..hope you can guys can help..

                        Also, please let me know which version of NinjaTrader 7 you use. (Help > About, version is shown in a 7.0.1000.X format)

                            Thank you for that information.

                            You will need to uninstall your current version of TWS and install TWS 927.7 from the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_927_7.exe

                            Please let me know if the same behavior occurs after installing the supported version of TWS.

                              downloading version 927.7 didnt solve the issue unfortunately. I get the message, this app can not run on this pc.
