Continuous chart but displays current contract with ZenFire

This is for ZenFire.

Is there a way to display the continuous contract for historical data but then have the front active month as the current display pricing?

I want to look at historical PA and draw a line, and then i want to look at a 5 minute chart and have that line displayed there.

I have tried to load all the data but it doesnt seem to go back as far as i am asking it to.

I may be doing something wrong, not sure. Like if i pick 700 days on a daily it loads that chart, then i switch that chart to a 1 hour and it resets the days loaded to 5 and i cannot see more than 5 days worth of h1 bars.

Hello Dr. Bocephus,
If you change the periodicity of the chart (like from Daily to Minute) then NinjaTrader will load the default "days to load" of that periodicity and you have to manually change it from the Data Series dialog box.

• Right click on the chart,
• In the context menu click on Data Series
• In the Data Series dialog set an appropriate Days to load

So if i am looking at a daily chart and then want to switch back to a 1 hour chart i will have to manually reload more data if i want to look back further than 5 days?

Can i change the defaults for each time period?

I am not sure that my data is correct.

I ran into this problem with Sierra charts but was able to get it to display correctly.

First attachment is the cfd market for crude oil, and notice the three daily pivot prices.


Then look at the prices that i have in ninja.

Thoughts on this?

It would depend on your data feed connection and what merge policy you are using.

To assist you further may I know:

1. Who is your connectivity provider is?
2. What merge policy you are using? You can get the information from Tools>Options>Data tab.

Thanks for the confirmation.

If you try changing the merge policy to MergeNonBackAdjusted from Tools>Options>Data tab then are you able to get the correct data.
