Kinetick symbols with the basic service

View up to 100 symbols simultaneously

But then I've read down the page that:

Not certain what exchange(s) you need? View a list of popular symbols.

Q1- Does the basic service include any symbol at all? I couldn't find any list other than to the market-metrics.

Q2- And out of curiosity, if a symbol is a tradable instrument; I am wondering how people could use all of them, and even need more?. Could someone give me a quick example of a practical application? I can't figure it out myself... :S

Yes, the basic service will give you access to any symbol that is supported by Kinetick, however it will be delayed without a subscription to that exchange.

I'm not sure I follow your second question- are you asking why someone would need to use 100 symbols? If so, one example would be creating a watch list of the NASDAQ 100 and monitor for various trade signals and using these signals to execute orders once a certain condition has been met.

Thanks Matthew, I understood Kinetick now, I didn't know about the delayed delivery of all supported symbols if you were not subscribed to that exchange.

Regarding the 2nd point, yes, you understood correctly, good example, thanks. In that case, does that user need to physically open 100 windows and keep them running so that his signals can get triggered? or can he configure his strategies for all those instruments somewhere in NT and keep them all running in the background without any window opened?

Thanks for your note and I am replying for Matthew.

You can initialize the strategies from the Strategies tab in Control Center. That way you dont have to open 100 windows. Please refer to our help guide to know more.
