Data Series updates on daily charts

Not sure I understood what you meant by "problem charts rename un-named"? If you mean "remain un-named" I also don't follow. I am running Win 7 and everything is named in the task bar.

I don't know the name of the charts in the task bar, until I set them "straight" by resetting the day end.


The charts that appear to work, I can see their names just fine.

Yes, it went from 11/12/12 to 11/14/12 after a restart.

To be sure we are on the same page you are connected to your broker first and the Kinetick EOD Free connection second, is that correct?

Also what instrument do you have selected within your chart?

Yes and yes. Instrument is ^SP500, the S&P 500 index.

In order for the bar to update with the current day you must have real time data which is not provided with the Kinetick End of Day (Free) connection.

With your current configuration and no real time data for Indexes for the bar to update with the current day you will be required to restart NinjaTrader at some point.

The only other option if you do not want to restart is to connect to a data provider that provides real time data for this asset such as a real time Kinetick account as opposed to EOD.

Thanks, that appears to be it. I still think it is strange for Kinetick to give "free end of day" quotes that do not roll, but I guess you get what you pay for.
