    Cannot connect to IB today

    Today I cannot connect to Interactive Brokers. I get the message: Login failed:IB Adapter Message Loop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it fe80:: 1572:1572:b330:76a9:83f8% 17:7479,

    Attached is a log and trace file for the occurrence.

    Thank you for your post.

    Which build of TWS do you use? To check please click Help > About Trader Workstation.

    I'd recommend removing the log and trace file as they contain some information you may not want to make publicly available.

          Hello,

          1.) With the current release of NinjaTrader you should be using the 927.7 build of TWS. Please shut down NinjaTrader and TWS then install via this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_927_7.exe

          2.) There should not be any need to remove these files manually. If you feel that you must remove the files, shut down NinjaTrader in advance. Log files are located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder. Trace files are located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

            Connecting Ninja to IB

            Kile, I installed 927.7 build of TWS and experieced the same issues as initially described.

              Hello,
              Please make sure you have configured TWS properly.
              • In TWS menu bar goto Edit>Global Configuration
              • In the Global Cconfiguration dialog, click on API>Settings and please make sure the option "Enable ActiveX and Socket clients" is checked.

                Joy I still have the same issues when trying to connect NT to IB after NT has connected to Kinetick. I continue to get the following message in the log file.

                1/14/2012 8:25:37 PM|1|2|Kinetic: Primary connection=Disconnected, Price feed=Disconnected
                11/14/2012 8:25:42 PM|1|2|Interactive Brokers: Primary connection=Connecting, Price feed=Connecting
                11/14/2012 8:25:51 PM|3|2|Interactive Brokers: IB.Adapter.MessageLoop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it fe80::1572:b330:76a9:83f8%17:7479(Panic)

                    Cannot connect to IB

                    I am using 7.0.1000.11 64 bit. Using Kinetick as data server which connects first, then I get the machine refusal to connect message.

                      IB Connection

                      This morning I attempted to restore NT from a backup taken when the connection to IB was working. I got the following message:

                      NT was unable to restore the selected backup archive file. Cannot find the central directory.
