    Saving open simulated positions

    Hi there,
Beginning trader ; got myself a subscription to Kinetick so I can practice placing real-time trades etc…
(I am using the - SIM 101 account; don"t have a live account yet-still using the free version of NT)

    Here is my question
It seems I am unable to save my open positions. After closing NT and reopen the program again all my simulated open positions are gone including any stops and targets.
Basically after re-opening NinjaTrader the Control Center is empty. Order tab does not show a single trade.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I am only asked if I want to save my work-space when shutting down NT. Seems like there should be a way to save your trades right, besides keeping your PC running 24/7.
Having a brief power outage would take out all your trades also.

    Thanks
    Harry

    Hello Harry,

You will need to connect to your data provider (Kinetick) for the trades to be displayed.

      Thanks Christopher

I figured it out; I was connecting automatically to FXCM first upon startup and usually connected to Kinetick manually afterwards.

I disabled FXCM and have Kinetick connecting now upon start-up. All my trades are shown now.

Thanks again - you mentioning the connection triggered a light bulb!
