    Unable to connect ZenFire

    Hello,

I am migrating NT to the Speedy Servers but for some reason I cannot get my ZenFire connection to connect. I keep getting the old Login Failed message. I have quadrupled checked all the configuration settings. I can connect on my pc but I cannot connect on the remote server. I can connect my Kinetick and my IB connections so it is just a ZenFire issue.

    Any suggestions appreciated?

    Hello PeterBrazel,

Can you please tell me what error message you experience.

The following ports and IP addresses are used with Zen-Fire connections:

    ritpz02502.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.230) - 65000 TCP
    ritpz02503.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.231) - 64100 TCP
    ritpz02504.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.236) - 63100 TCP
    ritpz02505.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.240) - 56000 TCP
    ritpz02506.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.241) - 55555 TCP
    ritpz02512.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.207) - 44444 TCP
    ritpz02513.02.rithmic.com (64.202.118.208) - 40000 through to 41099 TCP

    45454 UDP

Please check with Speedy Servers if any of these IP addresses or port numbers are blocked/interfered.

Speedy Servers confirm that these ports ARE NOT BLOCKED and are available.

Please see the link below that explains various Zen-Fire connection errors.

Since you can connect on the PC using the same connection (username & password), the issue is related to internet connectivity.

Were you ever able to connect to Zen-Fire in NinjaTrader that runs on the Speedy Servers?

The real name of the company is Speedy Trading Servers, and we already have few dozen of VPS users using ZenFire/Rithmic data feed without problem, with the same firewall configuration (which is pretty standard).
Peter's error message seems to be a credential problem, not a network related issue.
I will check this with him directly later, another pair of eyes might see what's wrong.

                Hello sam028,

If the issue would be credential-related, he would not be able to connect on his PC. He should experience the same error message.

Sounds good, please let me know the outcome.

                    Hello PeterBrazel,

Please restart your PC, modem and router and try the connection again. Does the same error occur after restarting these components?

                      Kyle,

                      Thanks for your response.

This issue is not with my pc or my network. I am migrating to a VPN to host the software because of poor connections this end. Initially I had a problem getting the ZenFire connection to work but have overcome that issue and am now getting the data cache problem. I will email the firm providing the service and see if they can assist. The company providing this service have many other NT customers using the service so this is some sort of initial set up problem, which, once overcome should be OK.

                      Peter

Can you please send me your log and trace files, so I can investigate the data cache errors. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att Jason, Unable to connect ZenFire' in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.
