    Flatten Everything command

When I use Chart Trader to close a position, my automated strategies disable and stop, which I'm pretty sure didn't use to happen.

The log file has the following ...
    Code:

12/5/2012 1:05:10 PM|1|128|Terminating any NinjaScript strategies invoked by Flatten Everything command
Any ideas what needs to be done to enable position closes from Chart Trader without strategy terminations?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your note.

Could you clarify, do your automated strategies use ATMs or does it just place orders?

      They just place orders.

        AnotherTrader,

Manually closing out of a position from active strategy will set this to disable the strategy.

This is expected behavior as the strategy is recognizing an outside change to the strategy behavior.
Specifically, this has been part of NinjaTrader strategies for some time and has not been recently changed

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear.

Say I have strategy running on Chart 1 (instrument A).

Say I have chart trader working on Chart 2 (also, instrument A).

I now use chart trader on Chart 2 to close the position associated with Chart 2.

This disables the strategy running on Chart 1.

          Is that usual behaviour?

            Hello,

Yes, if it is running on the same instrument that the strategy is running on. This has always been designed behavior.

If you only want to manage the position, please try using buy/sell market to exit rather than close, which disables strategies running on that instrument.

              donť stop order

Hello, I order a few days on the chart and I can not delete it, quit. Only when I change the order, so changes but actually goes in the opposite direction and can not be stopped and not deleted. This command is active for 5 days as otevřná position. In other markets, everything works correctly. Thank you very much for your help and for all the advice.

                Hello Radek,

First, if this is a live trade please contact your broker to manage the position.

Once you have closed the position with your broker please repair your database to remove the order from NinjaTrader.

To repair your database please go to Tools -> Options -> Data -> and click Repair DB.
If this does not remove the order then the order will be removed when your broker resets their servers.

If the order was submitted to the sim101 account please reset the sim101 account.

To reset the sim101 account please go to Tools--> Options--> Simulator--> and click Reset
Click here for more information on the Sim101 account
