    Login failed?!?

    Hi,

    I cant log in. Can you help me please?

    The following message is accuring:

    Login failed: Please check your account connection parameters and your internet connection.


    My account connection parameters are correct, ninja trader sent me my licence key. And my internet connection is ok too.

    May not be your issue but
    In the past when I experienced this, it was usually that the data provider was doing maintenance, especially on weekend(saturday).

      Hello Trader2012,

      The error message you received could also indicates that either the information was entered was incorrect or that the connection is being blocked by other software. The most common reason is that a firewall on your PC or on the network your computer is on is preventing NinjaTrader from connecting. To test this, please disable all firewalls and then restart NinjaTrader and see if it works. If yes, you just need to add ninjatrader.com to the exception list (safe list) for your firewall software.

      Let us know if the issue persists after the weekend.

        Hi JC,

        if I turn off the firewall, the following message occurs:
        Login failed: Unable to login(13): permission error.

        If I turn the firewall on again, the same message: permission error.

          Hello Trader2012,

          Could you please restart your PC, modem and router then try the connection again after restarting these components?

          If the issue still persist please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris S" in the subject line.

          In the message, please include the following:
          1.) A link to this forum thread.
          2.) Your most current trace and log files.

          You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 7-> Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

          Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 7->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt
