A problem with restarting the IB connection

Hello,

I have a severe problem with restarting my strategies after loosing my IB connection.

The problem is that after restarting TWS (mostly because of the necessity of restarting TWS once a day) my strategies don't recognize the positions opened by them before loosing the connection with IB. They don't read any new data or manage previously opened position even despite the fact that the NT is literally connected to IB.

Importantly, I think that I have appriopriate loss-connection options (Handling: keep running). Here are details on my applications:
- Ninja Trader: 7.0.1000.11;
- TWS build 932.4;
- Java 1.7.0_09.

Hi Greg, which 'On Starting A Realtime Strategy' setting are you using? WaitUntilFlat?

For IB, you would want to downgrade the TWS used to 927.7 - as this would be the version we currently recommend using with NT7 R11.

that's right, 'WaitUntilFlat' is the option I am currently using. I will check how the other option works.

unfortunately changing this option doesn't solve the problem. Have you got any other suggestions?

Greg, when you restart the strategies then - would they have a different strategy position coming from historical data? They would not be expected to pickup the position held previously in your account (at least for now, an option to enhance this further is on our feedback for our next major release).

Bertrand, yes, NT has old positions, but I want strategies to pickup them. You wrote that it is impossible, so I am affraid that it ends this thread. Thank you for help.
