How to import symbol with description

Hi,

I use File -> Stock -> Import Stock Symbol List to import new symbols. However, it does not import the description. Pls show me how to do so?

Hello Toyogo,

Thank you for your post.

There is no method to import the description as well.

To do this you must manually enter the description for each stock you imported. Go to the NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Instrument Manager > search for the stock you imported > double click ont he stock in the search results > change the description > OK > OK.

Hi,

It is very important feature as I am trying to load 3800 NYSE, 2800 NASDAQ, 1500 HKSE, 800 SGX, 2000 SSE etc. It is impossible to enter the description manually.

The database is SDF file and can be updated using SQL, Is it possible to get your development team to provide a SQL statement to upload the symbol with Description as a interim solution?
