    Trading Forex

    Hello,

I am gonna trade Forex and when setting a new account I found this:

"You must set the correct setting for the "Quote currencies(fx) in" property accessible from within the NT Control Center windows menu "Tools > Options > Data. Set the value to half pip".

I checked this and I have the value set to "pip", why should I change this to "half pip"?

The other question I have is because of this:

" If you are trading non-USD pairs please ensure you have data streaming for related USD conversion pairs prior to placing orders. This is required for accurate PnL reporting"

I am gonna trade non-USD pairs as well. What does data streaming mean? Can you explain me that? I am confused.

    Thanks

    Sincerely

    #2
    Hello dvercher,

    Thank you for your note.

You may want to change the Currency Quote to match your data provider. In most cases this would be set to TenthPip.

Regarding data streaming for non-USD currency pairs, this means that you need to receive live data before placing trade to ensure the correct currency conversion.

We suggest creating a Market Analyzer with all the currency pairs you plan on trading so that there can be live data streaming to these instruments before you trade.
