NT - broker - order handling

    Hello,

beside the informations on the NT-website about order-handling I want to ask specifically if ExitLongStop() has the same quality like SetStopLoss and if this is sent to the brokers server referring the conditions or if ExitLongStop() is only held and working on the computer with NT (like eg ExitLong())

    Thanks
    Tony

    Hello Tony,
    Thanks for your post.

Unfortunately Simulated stop order using the Exit() methods are not supported.

You have to use the Set() methods to do so.

      Hello,

      thank you for your reply.

In a thread about how to remove stoplosses I got your information that if the order is working or accepted state then it is on brokers server.

When is an ExitLongStop in working state and when is an ExitLongStop in accepted state please? Referring NT-helpguide In Accepted state is "Order confirmation received by broker" - but when is this so? As you answered in this thread "Unfortunately Simulated stop order using the Exit() methods are not supported.'" and this I understand as ExitLongStop is not on brokers server, or what do you mean else with "not supported"?

      I´m really confused now.

      Thanks
      Tony

        Hello Tony,
Order state Accepted means the order has been received by the broker, while order state working means the order has been received by the exchange. Please refer to our help guide to know more about it

To clarify further you cannot submit a simulated order using the Exit methods. You have to use the Set methods to submit a simulated stop order.

          Hello Joydeep,

Nov. 14th I asked: "is the ExitLongStop sent like setstoploss to brokers server, or does it only work on my Computer with NinjaTrader?"

you answered Nov. 14th: "If the order is in working or accepted state then the order will be at the brokers end or at the exchange."

so, does your answer refer to my question please and can this be "accepted"? Your answer suggests that ExitLongStop can be on brokers server when it is accepted. So, when it is accepted?

(I know what means accepted by definition referring the helpguide)

            Hello Tony,
The orderstate confirmation is sent by your broker to NinjaTrader.

NinjajTrader only acts as a radio receiver and receives the order state info from your broker. Else NinjaTrader has no way to know what the order state will be (in case the order may be rejected by your broker etc).

              Hello Joydeep,

              yes, I know!

So, can ExitLongStop be ever in accepted status??
              (referring comments on Nov. 14th)

                Hello Tony,
Yes, it can be in Accepted state (meaning not in you local PC).
