    Yahoo connection

    Hi,

I've create a connection to Yahoo and successfully connected. When I open the chart with Hong Kong Exchange or Singapore Exchange (I've imported the respective symbols accordingly), it only display two decimal points. If I open the Historical Data Manager to view the data, it is also two decimal points. I have set the Tick size of the instrument from Instrument Manager to 0.001.

Q1. I guess the problem may come from Yahoo data source which only provide two decimal points. Is there a way to change it?

    Regards,
    Toyogo

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

So that I can test here, could you please tell me which instrument you had tried? If you would provide the symbol mapping and exchange setting you used as well that would be helpful. Thank you!

      Hi Kyle,

      Pls try the following:
      1. create Yahoo connection.
      2. import symbol 0697.HK through Import Symbol List.
      3. then goto Instrument Manager, change the Tick size to 0.001.
      4. create a new chart for 0697.HK (daily).
      5. goto http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=0...rce=undefined;
to see the chart on yahoo. The NJ only accept two decimal points so it cannot display 0.455.

      Regards,
      Toyogo

        Hello Toyogo,
It seems Yahoo appends data in N2 format only for the instrument 0697.HK. Please refer here to know more.
