currency and futures tick chart data loss

    Hi there,

I have a problem with my currency and futures tick chart. Its not loading the data correctly. Lots of tick bars are missing. I am using kinetick as my data provider. Attached is my 6B and ES futures tick chart. Please advice. Thank you.

    Hello supersub,

Am I correct you connect to CQG in NinjaTrader?

I tested 6A 03-13 and 6E 03-13 on my end and I am not able to load all historical data either. There is data loaded up to 7:25 PM EST yesterday, however there is no historical data after that.

I have sent an email to development regarding the issue. Once there is news regarding the matter, I will let you know.

You can enable 'Save chart data as historical' at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab to save all real-time data you currently receive as historical data. Please do not reload historical data in the chart for now or else it will load the missing data again.

I am using kinetick on a simulated account. I have chosed the save chart historical data option but still the same. Is it something missing in my historical tick data? How do i rectify this issue?

Thank you fo clarifying. Please disable the 'Save chart data as historical' since you have access to historical data.

Can you please try minute charts instead of tick charts and check if data is missing.
What do you see when you create 150 tick charts?

Actually i do not know whether i have historical data or not. This is the default 150 tick chart.

I do not think you experience missing data. It might seem that way because your initial two charts use a high tick interval. I load similar data when I create a 150 Tick chart.

What setting are you using for 'Merge policy' as per the ES? Please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the ES and click Edit.

Thank you for clarifying. Please leave it as is and proceed as follows.

Make sure NinjaTrader is shut down and navigate to the following folder:

                          C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db

                          Delete the cache folder.

Open the tick folder and delete all ES folders you see listed.

Start NinjaTrader and create a new chart. Check if data is loaded similar as the attached screenshot.

for your info, it is not only my ES chart but all my other futures chart as well i.e. 6E, 6B. Should i delete the rest?

In that case, please delete the entire tick folder.
