chart trader properties ---- PnL display

I seem to be doing something wrong. See chart. The YM chart
shows a 3 point profit on a long which is displayed as a currency
profit of $3. My understanding is that a 3 point profit on the YM yields
    a currency profit of $15.

I need to see a currency profit/loss in sim on the YM.

P.S. Can commissions charges be subtracted in sim trading?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Commissions can be deducted even in the simulation account. Are you using commissions?

Thanks for replying. Perhaps we can discuss the original problem first and then discuss
the commissions matter. As far as I know NT is not deducting commissions.

Tools | Options | Commission tab shows no commissions being deducted. see image

I just found the Help page to alter commissions in Sim. I haven't tried the procedure there as yet.
      I still need to understand how/if a five tick profit/loss in the YM yields a $5 profit/loss. I'm probably
doing something stupid but can't figure out what it would be.

(I might not respond again until Sunday)

        Hi,

Please disconnect from your data provider and reset NinjaTrader's instrument list:
        • Open the Options menu (Tools > Options) then navigate to the Data tab.
        • Click Reset Instruments, then restart NinjaTrader.

After restarting, please open a new position in the Sim101 account and tell me what your PnL display is reading.

I have no data provider. I use MarketReplayConnection. Should I still do all this?

            Hi,

Yes, please give the reset a shot. If the issue persists please contact me via email - Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com.

In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's log and trace files:

The log is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
I'll need a copy of the 'log.20121225.txt' file.

The trace file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
I'll need a copy of the 'trace.20121225.txt' file.
