How to Place Market on Close Order

When I buy a security, I have an ATM Strategy for a stop and target. But in case my internet went out I do not want to be in the trade overnight. In IB I can place a MOC order. How do I do that in NJ. All orders are to be OCA

    Hello rwbil,
    Thanks for your post.

Unfortunately you cannot place MOC order in NinjaTrader.

You can however choose to flatten your trades at a specific time.
    • In Control Center menu bar goto Tools>Options>Misc tab and set a Time to Flatten and check on Flatten All checkbox.

I placed Flatten all as you stated. You never mentioned that it would go in and try and flatten all my long term positions IB. I expected to just close my open NijaTrader positions. Not my Long Term Open positions in IB.

You should have warned me about this!!!!!!!

Thank God IB stopped some of the orders automatically before it flattened everything.

Now when I try to close NJ it says I have orders open. I want to cancel all open orders, yet I see no open orders, so it must be tied to this flatten order

        Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about this. However the Help Guide linked does state the following:
        Flatten all
Enables or disables the flattening of all positions and cancelling of working orders across all positions and accounts
If you're sure these orders are not open at IB and you cannot remove them in NT, please repair your DB.

To repair your database please go to Tools -> Options -> Data -> and click Repair DB.
If this does not remove the order then the order will be removed when your broker resets their servers.

I was clear that I only wanted to flatten my NJ trades and you stated to use this feature to flatten your trades. You need to call me about this issue. How do you just flatten your NJ open trades
