not responding when try to open NT5

    Hi Ninja Trader,

I'm using NT5.....and when I try to open the NT5 [for instance, double clicking my NT5 icon], there's no response. So I try to open itagain...then NT5 starts....after 2-3 minutes later, my initial try to open NT5 response and that opens another NT5.

I don't know why always my initial trying tp open doesn't work. This happens on 2 different computers. (one NT5 is ver 5...3 and another one is ver 5....4 but same result)

And I don't think it's a memory problem. I open NT5 as soon as I boot up my PC with enough memory(1G and 2G).

Another problem after using NT5 is when I shut down my PC, it always gives me message that Windows can't close microsoft net frame...and then I have to click End button to shut down my PC. If I don't use NT5 and shut down my PC, then I don't get this message. So I'm doubting about this, too.

anyway Thank you and I like many new stuffs on NT5.

    utm,

That is very strange. Lets start at the very beginning.

    1) Uninstall NT5
    2) Uninstall MS .NET
    3) Reboot
    4) Re-install .NET 1.1
    5) Install NT5

      Hi Ray,

I did what you recommend and it works now

I think the problem was coming from failing of installing newest NT5 version.

I failed several times to install ver 5.....5(lastest one). So after several times of trying, I was using 5....4 version and that brought the problem I think.

Anyway, it was hard to install. Takes more time and got error message while installing.

And also I install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

Is it ok to upgrade from 1.1 to 2.0? It seems fine so far. Also is it ok to remove 1.1 version from Add or Remove Programs from Control Panel?

      Thank you again,

      UTM-

Yes it was fine to remove .NET via Add/Remove programs.
We have not tested nor guarantee stability of NT on .NET 2.0.
