Interface to start backtestings automatically

Hi everybody!

I try to create a larger ai project that evolves it self through automatic backtesting and retraining.

I try to figure out if NinjaTrader is the right fit for this, but i'm not sure if following requirements are met:

1. Is it possible to start programmatically the historical backtesting of a strategy?
2. is it possible to get the information of the evaluation / result via an Interface, DLL

As far as i understand it, NinjaTrader executes only custom code (in form of Strategies) when the process is executed by the user - i.e. a backtesting is started in the user interface. This would kill the action for me, because i don't want any human interaction.

Any ideas? =)

If you want to backtest a strategy then please use the Strategy Analyzer to do it. Please refer to our help guide which further illustrates it.

Besides backtesting you can also Optimize your strategy and perform Walk Forward Optimization for your strategy via NinjaTrader.
