    CQG doesnt backfill chart with Data

    Hi Support,
    using ninja7 with CQG data thru AmpFutures.
    ninja 7 7.0.1.000.9
    data has been working well, but now has stopped backfilling with historical data when i bring up a chart...
    talked to AMP about it and he said Upgrade to latest version of Ninja 7 ,,,,, do you think that would solve the problem ?
    it will save the realtime data that accumulates as the chart is open.
    i am using CQG also as the backup datafeed connection for historical data in the account connections. i tried using IB data for the backup but didnt find that altered the outcome of the problem.
    can you suggest any solutions for this ?

    Note: I am able to switch data providers to IB and i find that it updates perfectly using IB data... so some how it is related to CQG..?
    and if i right click on a chart while using the CQG data, i notice the "reload all historical data" box is greyed out?? as though CQG isnt supplying historical data for some reason...

    Hello lightfoot500,

    You may want to upgrade to the latest version of NinjaTrader first.

    Secondly, you may want to make sure that Historical Data is enabled for your CQG Account Connection under the Backup datafeed connection as well.

    Let us know if you the issue persists.

      Ok,
      just enabled under backup feed as well.
      doesnt seem to fix the problem.
      i will call cqg and ask if they know more about it.
      i would think cqg would still work with my current version of ninja.
      so the issue still persists. hmmm

        If it was disabled before please restart NinjaTrader and try reloading a chart.

          Hi support,
          Could this problem be that the Port is blocked some way?
          this problem has occurred since installing skype (and also a software used to record conversation on skype)
          so is there a way to check that Ninja/ CQG is getting access to the Web ?

            In order for me to help determine why this is occurring, we will need to review your log and trace files from the last date that this occurred.

            Please send me your log and trace files for today so that I may look into what occurred.

            You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.

            Please reference this thread in the email

                Hello support !
                The problem with missing history data is still common with many instruments and is too often.
                I use CQG.

                Where this problem comes from ? Ninja or CQG, and can it be fixed after all ?
                This is not only on sim, but also on real ones.

                  Same with my NT and CQG Connection

                  Hello NT Support,

                  Want to attach my issue with NT and CQG to this thread.

                  I am running NT 64bit 7.0.1000.14 with Kinetick (EoD) and QCG through AMP Futures.

                  Historical Data were not filled. I can't remember that this was an issue in the past. It worked fine for months and years. Until today.

                  I have no clue what went wrong tried several option but still missing historical data for most of my traded instruments e.g CL.

                  Any idea how to solve that? And what might the reason for this issue?

                        Hello Everyone,

                        We do have reports of missing Historical Data on multiple instruments in the Historical Data Servers when connecting to CQG.

                        This should have been resolved now, and you may restart NinjaTrader to be able to restore all of the missing Historical Data.

                        Please let me know if this still persists for anyone.

                          Hi NT support,

                          I'm still missing data

                          Still No backfill data for NQ from Aug 2nd 4:15pm til 4pm yesterday. Made the mistake of reloading historical data this morning and lost what was there
