    No chart data showing

    Hello,

    I have been using NT for a few months now and everything has been working very well. A couple of days ago I noticed that my chart data was actually incorrect. This was on the ES 3-13 contract, I figured that somehow I might have got the contract data mixed up with a later contract or something like that. So I decided to clear the historical data I had and download it again to make sure it was correct.
    Now after downloading it I can't get any chart data to show up on charts/strategy analyzer.

    I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I found the instrument in the 'Instrument Manager', then downloaded the historical data from the 'Historical Data Manager'. I tried this once while connected to InteractiveBrokers and once while connected to Kinetick EOD. When I open a new chart and set it to daily, I don't get any data at all.

    Any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

    Hello Stoop,

    You may try to reset all of your instruments to the default settings by following the steps below.

    * Disconnect for all data providers
    * Go to the Control Center -> Tools.
    * Inside the Options window select the Data tab
    * Press the Reset Instruments button
    * Restart NinjaTrader
    * Note: Any changes made to original instruments settings will be reset.

    Once, you have restarted NinjaTrader, connect to the Kinetick - End of Day (Free) connection and try loading up your charts.

    Let us know if the issue persists.

      That cleared up my problem with the chart data not showing up, thanks.

      The chart data I download still seems to be slightly off from the real data I see on my IB platform. Is this a common problem when you download historical data ? I have tried downloading from both Kinetick EOD and IB.

          Yes, I have taken screenshots of my chart in IB as well as NT. These are for the 3-13 ES contract. I also attached a screenshot of the 6-13 ES contract from IB.

            Thank you for your response.

            What session begin and end times are being used for the daily bars for Interactive Brokers?

            For the Kinetick EOD, the daily bars use the Extended Trading Hours but the close is the settlement price given by the exchange.

              In IB for daily bars I have beginning at 8:30am to 3:30pm. How do I get the NT daily bars to follow the same trading hours?

                Hello Stoop,

                Thank you for your response.

                The Session Template in NinjaTrader will not effect the daily bars from Kinetick EOD. The daily bars from the Kinetick EOD conenction are pre-packaged and cannot be changed by a Session Template.

                  I see now what the problem was. It was on my IB platform, I had to set it to display data outside of RTH. Thanks a lot for your help.
