Hi Guys,

Don't know if you can help with this one, but I just noticed I have no data for KFT which is in the Dow30.

All the data-vendors seem to use the symbol KFT and I've tried eSignal and Kinetick feeda, but can't seem to get any history.

Thoughts?

Hello Aspirant,

Please disconnect from your data provider, reset the instruments and restart NinjaTrader.

To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

Sorry, resetting my instruments sounds like a scary option as I have about 2,000 instruments I've added manually...

I did manage to get the data, but I had to disconnect eSignal and connect to Kinetick and then make the explicit history request.

This is rather disconcerting as eSignal is my primary feed and I already had Kinetick set as the secondary in the "eSignal Connection" ... so why, why, why???

How is this going to run live? Kraft is a stonking market for my models, so I don't want to drop it from the list.

Should I run Kinetick as a separate connection instead of a secondary in the eSignal connection?

Thoughts?

Hello Aspirant,

Resetting the instruments will only reset the instruments that are preloaded in NinjaTrader to their orignal settings.

When connecting to Kinetick and your broker, you have some options...

Connect to Kinetick first then to your broker. This setup will get all live and historical data from Kinetick, and still allow you to execute trades to your broker.

Or, connect to your broker first, then to Kinetick, with historical data disabled on your broker. This will allow you to get live data from your broker, and all historical data from Kinetick, and will also use Kinetick as a backup.

NT Kinetick EOD doesn't want to load data of KFT

Hello. I tried to load KFT data, but error appears.


Everything is by default, because I reinstalled NT. I tried with Kinetick EOD data connection.

KRFT was acquired by KHC. It is no more in DOW30. Well, I see that Dow30 index is old list in NT by default
