    TICKQ with Volume Chart

    Hello,

I have a 4000 volume chart on ES. Is it possible to put ^TICKQ in the bottom pane and make it line up correctly without affecting the ES chart? i.e. the bars of the TICKQ should use the OHLC values that corresponds with the time period for each bar in the ES volume chart.

Currently when I add the TICKQ in, it changes the x-axis scale to the normal time axis which messes up the ES volume chart.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Due to the requirement that equidistant bar spacing apply to multi-series charts, the display you've outlined would be in effect with this type of setup when Volume based bars are used. This is something we hope to change in a future version of NinjaTrader however.

Ok, so its not possible off the shelf, but am I right to say that this can be done with some custom indicator programming?

If its possible, I might put in some time to figure out how to do it
