    enabling strategies issue

    Hi:

    All of a suddened, when I enable strategies a few may go green but then NT throws a (not responding) and I get a in progress circle icon. It just stays that way for a long time. Then when I click on the screen a few times to get it to respond it just turns windows transparent white and sometimes shuts NT completely down.

    I have already tried repairing the DB, resetting the instruments, and reloading the data in the data manager.

    I am using Zen Fire.

    Please let me know...

            What causes a strategy to stay white? Output window shows enabled and no error message anywhere?

              Hello birdog,

              When a Strategy is White inside of the Strategies Tab it means that the Strategy is disabled or not running.

              Many different things can cause a Strategy to go white for example: disabling a Strategy, disconnecting from the data provider, an order being rejected, an error within the strategy, etc...

              If you have enabled your Strategy you may want to look in the Log tab to see what may have caused your strategy to be disabled.

                Thanks for that info...just so you know...I am aware of everything you posted...let me try to be a little clearer as to what my issue is...smile...

                I am actually trying to enable a strategy and it shows the check mark briefly and then immediately goes white again. It shows it is enabling in the output window as well...no other error messages in the output window...

                    I think I found th problem just so you and other know in the future...

                    I recently did delete a strategy and replaced it (same name etc).

                    There was a old .xml template in Ninjatrader 7>templates. I deleted it (I guess it may have be references the old .cs or something like that).

                    Then, went tot Ninjatrader 7>bin>Custom>Strategy. I deleted the strategy in question.

                    Then, deleted all associated strategies in the NT Strategies tab.

                    Then, restarted NT.

                    Then, reimported the .cs Strategy I wanted and compiled.

                    Then, added the new/fresh strategy and enabled fine....
