    Data Problems

    Hi

    I started Ninja as usual this morning and everything was OK.
    I had to hit F5 on a chart to reload a strategy and I got an error message indicating "Server Busy".
    When I restarted Ninja all my charts were completely out of whack (no candles for this morning's session).

    Please advise.

    I run the latest Ninja version (11) on Zen Fire and I have no internet problems whatsoever.

    PS: the problem appears on all markets I trade (Eurex, Euronext, CME). I get live data in the DOM but the charts have no historical candles for this morning's session.

    I just emailed support as I'm having similar issues with historical data. Getting the following error in the log window.

    "Unable to connect to NinjaTrader data server (64.202.118.179/31654) A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not correctly respond after a period of time etc"

      Hello laocoon,

      Can you please check the Control Center-->Log-tab and scroll to the time when you got connected. Check if you see an error message related to the historical data server.

      When I test Zen-Fire on my end, I cannot connect to the historical data server. Because there is no connection, no historical data can be loaded.

      We are looking into the issue. As soon as there is information, I will let you know.

        The Log says: Unable to connect to NinjaTrader data server (64.202.118.179/31654). Host unknown.

          Historical data

          Same problem here. Zen fire data feed "reload historical data" is greyed out. No historical data from my last log out on all instruments.

              Yes, we can reproduce the issue on our end as well. Unfortunately, no connection can be made to the historical data server, so no historical data can be loaded.

              If there is news regarding the matter, I will update this forum thread.

                Is this a Zen-Fire only problem or are other data feed providers impacted as well?
                This is the second time that there's been an issue in less than a month, how come there are no backup servers for this type of incident?

                  Unfortunately, all connections that use our historical data server are affected.

                    zenfire works is ok
                    backup servers for historical data is necessary...

                        Log says:
                        "Unable to connect to NinjaTrader data server (64.202.118.179/1654): No such host is known".

                          Guys, I know you have a lot on your plate but it's been over two hours since the problem first occured and it still isn't working. I certainly don't expect 100% uptime from Ninja, but when a problem as serious as this one occurs it is essential to have a backup system that kicks in after a few minutes at most.

                              Unfortunately there is no solution at this time. We are still investigating. Once there is news, I will let you know.
