Backtesting with no saved data

Hello, I am new here and very new to the backtesting with the upgraded version on NT7. I have not been saving any of my history, does this mean that I can not back test until I have saved data on my hard drive, or is there another way of backtesting without saved data on my computer. Thanks for any help.

Backtests will always be performed by using historical data that is saved to your computer. If you do not have the data you can connect to a data provider that you will download the data from when it's requested.

Hello,
I was using the free end of day feed from Kinetick for Forex. It seems that the only series I can obtain are the days and minutes. I can have 60 mins charts but not 4hr or 8hr ones. Accordingly I can only set backtesting in days or minutes (up to 60). Should this be the case?

With the free kinetick data you will not be able to get any minute data. Only daily data. If you have minute data it would have had to have been obtained from a different source. If you had the real time kinetick feed you would be able to backtest in any minute increment.
