Historical data server busy?

    Historical data server busy?

    Been wrestling with this headache all week, this morning was the last straw.

    All my charts have miss calculated data/bars and usually when this happens, I just have to "reload all historical data" but this time my data will not reload because "server is busy". It's been busy for an hour?

    Missed my morning session, hopefully it's a good explanation

    Hello bau250,

    This message indicates that you were disconnected from the historical data server.
    You may restart NinjaTrader and see if you can get the data.

    Let us know if the issue persists.

      I was a network admin for 7 years - I've tried all the obvious.

      I also have a second connection source - same problem. The problem is with the servers.

        I'm able to ping 208.48.16.130 just fine - but then it looks like it switches to 64.202.118.181 and that is where it times out. It gives me an error right away now without it even trying to connect.

          Hello bau250,

          Have you tried restarting NinjaTrader to see if it resolves your problem?

          I have tested this on my end without this issue, do you have a firewall that may be blocking the connection?

          Edit - I have been informed that we have been are running our one of our Backup servers so you could be running into a resource problem from our end. Restarting NinjaTrader should resolve this issue. While, we are on our Backup server you may want to reduce the number of days of data that you are loading to be able to reduce the frequency of getting disconnected to our Data Server.

              Hello Jonson,

              We are still running on our secondary server. Maintenance is scheduled for our Primary Server in attempt to get it back up and running for Monday.

              To try avoid this you may to limit the amount of data that you are trying to access from the servers.
