    charts not updating price

Right now i looking at two charts and a super dom. The prices on the chart do not match the superdom. The price on the charts is not updating. I tried closing the charts and reopening them. And also thried reloading historical data. Nothing has helped.

What might be causing this? How can a fix it. I am viewing the ES 03-13

    Thanks for any help

    Hello mcteague,

    Thanks for your post.

So I may assist you further please answer the following.

    1) What session template is selected? You can check by right clicking on the chart and selecting Data Series
    2) What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.11)
    3) (For a chart) what interval is selected?
    4) Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

Session template is "use instrument settings"
      Version 7.0.1000.11 Live
All intervals show incorrect data. Changing interval has no affect.
      No errors on screen.

An interesting, but probably unrelated, bit of information is that I know someone using esignal who had the exact same problem this morning. They changed their server. And somethings had to be rerouted on their end. Mentioned just in case.

Also there are no errors in the control center log.

        Hello mcteague,

        Thanks for your reply.

Please try to reset your instruments and clear your cache

To reset your instruments please disconnect from your connections and go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.
Exit NinjaTrader and open the following directory in Windows
        (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache
Delete the folders & files in this cache folder
        Restart NinjaTrader and try again.

Your instructions have fixed the problem, Chart prices and superdom are now updating correctly.
If you know, please let me know what might have caused the problem.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

          Cheers

            Hello mcteague,

I'm glad to here that worked.
The suspect issue seen by the other people you know on eSignal may have caused the cache data to get corrupted by resulting it in not properly saving and then not being able to update.
Clearing the cache data allowed it to refresh.

I had to repeat this procedure to fix the same problem today. Are we aware of this occurring with anyone else. I am somewhat concerned about its repetition. As unreliable chart data would make all indicators and strategies not very useful.
