    NT7 crushing my cpu

    I have a xeon x3450 3 core processor and my system is getting bogged down requiring a full core worth of processing? How could that be. I have just completed a fresh install via support at ninjatrader. Please help because the system is unstable and untradable at this time

    Can you please provide me with the ID number for the Support inquiry you had submitted? (Will be 6 digits)


    You can troubleshoot the performance issue by forcing NinjaTrader to start without restoring any saved workspaces:

    Please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace

    * Shut down NinjaTrader
    * Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces
    * Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML".
    * After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should startup without any workspaces.
    * Once NinjaTrader has started on just the control center, please open a new chart with no indicators or templates loaded and test for issue.

    If no issues on this new workspace, please try opening the previous workspace by going to File--> Workspaces--> Open workspace.

    If this reintroduces issues, I would suggest rebuilding your workspace. Please keep track of what indicators you add back in so that we can narrow down what indicator is causing the issue if the issue returns. I also suggest making a backup of your workspace so we can restore a backup if the issue returns.

      Where is that support number? I dont know where that would be.

        The ticket number should be displayed in the subject field of any emails that were sent during the correspondance.

        Example: Subject: RE: NinjaTrader Support Request {XXXXXX}

          deleting it seemed to fix it. But why? I loaded the same charts and it dropped drastically

            Can you tell me why that worked? I dont seem to understand why. I removed that file and all the charts function normally.

              Thank you for the follow up and I am glad to hear that forcing NinjaTrader to start without restoring your workspaces helps to resolve the situation.


              If loading the older workspace causes the performance issues you have been experiencing then I would suggest rebuilding your workspace.

              Please keep track of what indicators you add back in so that we can narrow down what indicator/study is causing the issue if the issue returns. I also suggest making a backup of your workspace so we can restore a backup if the issue returns.
