Difference Gtc and Day

What is exactly the difference when running a strategy and the time in force is set to day or it is set to Gtc.

The TIF will determine how long a pending order is good for and this strategy just sends this information to your broker to handle.

Should you have any unfilled orders at the end of the trading session, Day orders will be canceled by the broker, while GTC will remain open until you explicitly cancel the order (Good Til Canceled).
