How do I access the data for RBOB Gasoline (symbol UHU)

I am using a free demo of Zen fire data for ninja. When I attempt to open an RBOB chart (symbol UHU) I cannot recieve any data for the contract.

It is listed on Ninja as being on IPE....is this an issue of not having access to the data, or does ninja need to enable the platform for the data?

If so, how can I recieve the RBOB data? Any input is much appreciated.

Don't know if this helps,but might provide a clue: some time ago I had an issue with getting this instrument to chart with IB data. It turned out that there are numerous and subtle variations on symbol mapping for this instrument. Try placing a pipe ( | thing on keyboard) before and after IPE. Also, try searching these forums for "IPE" and experiment with all the iterations you come across. You might also want to try "COIL" instead of "IPE". These are just guesses on my part from previous experience on this symbol.

Do you see any error message regarding UHU?

Under the LOG tab, I have the phrase "Instrument UHU 4-13" not supported" highlighted in yellow.

Could you clarify, are you looking for the RB quotes from ICE or NYMEX?

Thank you for the update.

For RBOB from Nymex use the RB.

Please review the screen shot and ensure that your RB instrument is identical. I have highlighted important areas

* From the Control Center -> Tools -> Instrument Manager
* Search for RB in the 'Name' field
* Press 'Edit'
* Check your RB instrument versus the screen shot.
* Press 'OK' on the Edit window
* Press 'OK' on the Instrument Manager

Note you may need to add the below mapping to the Symbol Map for RB.

* RB|NYMEX

I have been able to get the data streaming for the RB contract...however there is no historical data from the overnight session..

Is there a way I can access the historical data?

RB - Gas Futures, currently do not have historical data recorded on our servers.

I will send this request to our IT Manager to add RB to the historical data server.


If you want RB historical data, Kinetick offers full historical data.
