    Connection and data issues

    Hi,

    Currently updated to latest NT and have latest TWS. Today the dom and pricve bars were not in sync and I kept getting the audible alarm of a connection to Kinetick and/or IB TWS. However, the connection status on the lower bottom left corner never went red at all. The charts however would stop moving at times and because I mainly watch price bars I would notice once in awhile the dom and price bars were sometimes 3 ticks apart? I have an error that says"Requested Market Data not subscribed. Error NYSE/IND/Top 354" Its been doing this the last 2 hours???

    Thanks for your post.

    The latest version of Traders Workstation is not supported.
    The current version of NinjaTrader and Traders Workstation supported together is NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.12 and Traders Workstation 927.7

    You can download Traders Workstation 927.7 from the link below


    Follow the steps in our Interactive Brokers Connection guide (linked below) to configure Traders Workstation 927.7


    Once version 927.7 is installed please test again.

          Thanks for your reply.

          So I may assist you further please answer the following.

          Does it work better if you set the chart to update more frequently? You can do this by right clicking on the chart, selecting Properties, and adjusting the Display Update Interval
          What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

              Thanks for your reply.

              As a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.


              * Shut down NinjaTrader
              * Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces
              * Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML".
              * After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should startup without any workspaces.
              * Once NinjaTrader has started on just the control center, please open a new chart with no indicators/templates, a SuperDOM, and test for issue.


              Unfortunately the Log and Trace files that you sent in to support were not able to be received.

              If you still have issues, so I may assist you further please manually send the Log and Trace files to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com

              You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

              The log file will be named "log.20130313.txt"
              You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

              The trace file will be named "trace.20130313.txt"
              Once located send the files as an attachment to your email and in the message put ATTN BRANDON, provide a link to this forum topic, and let me know what instrument (and expiry if applicable) you are looking at.
