Problem with chart scaling for Japanese Futures

For the Japanese Yen chart, using Interactivebrokers data feed, the scaling is not correct. Too much white space on the top of the chart. See the attached images. Is there any setting that can solve this? Trying to use a fixed Y axis does not help since I can move the chart up/down, but not expand it vertically. This problem also occurs in the current release of Ninjatrader (updated this week).

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Within NinjaTrader you can move the chart up or downplease follow the steps below.
    • Move your mouse to the Y-Axis
    • Hold down the Ctrl button and left mouse button
    • While holding down both Ctrl + Left Mouse button move the mouse up or down
I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over how to change the vertical scale and range of your chart within NinjaTrader 7.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

I understand how to move the vertical axis (see the second image). The problem is I can't expand the vertical axis by using the Ctrl+left mouse function. The scale is still small. If you see on the image, there is a lot of white space between the first vertical price tick and the top of the chart. I don't know of any setting/function to reduce this white space. The problem only occurs on the Japanese Futures, I assume because of the small value of each tick.

Thank you for the clarification. When testing on my end I had to move the chart up multiple times to get the price to visible after expanding the Y-Axis.

If the issue persists after slowly moving the chart up please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris J" in the subject line.
In the message, please include the following:

1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) A phone number to reach you at and time you will be available.

I found my problem. I was using logarithmic instead of linear. Once I changed over to linear, my problem went away. Just wanted you to know.
