I would like to check if there is available Ninja Script/Strategy that would enable trading the news releases. There are scripts for the Forex, so I believe there should be availability in Ninja Scripts as well.
The strategy is simply placing two pending Buy/Sell stops before news release with certain parameters. I will elaborate on the parameter as below which are already available in MT4 FX EAs...
1) TicksAway, number of ticks above and below the current market price where the orders will be placed.
2) TP - Target Profit, you enter the amount of ticks, when your order gets into profit this amount of Points, it will be closed automatically.
3) SL - Stop Loss amount in ticks. Stop Loss is set on Pending Order open, but is immediately updated when the Order goes filled in order to tighten the stop loss level of the trade in order to take slippage into account.
This parameter should be initially optional, and we can trigger a trailing stop when filling order is in profit.
News Release Date and Time
4) NYear - News Year.
5) NMonth - News Month. See Note for NYear.
6) NDay - News Day. See Note for NYear.
7) NHour - News Hour.
8) NMin - News Minute.
9) CTCBN - Numbers of Candles To Check Before News For determining High & Lows , when it is 1 it checks the current candle, when it is 2 it checks the current candle and the previous one. If CTCBN = 0, TicksAway is used from Bid price for Sells and Ask price for Buys. If CTCBN > 0, Ticksaway is used from the Low for Sells and High for Buys, where the Low and High are the lowest and highest price reached within the number of candles specified.
10) SecBPO - Seconds Before News Which the script Will Place Pending Orders[/B]; well this is preferred to be into milliseconds if possible as we need to be ready before news release by around 500 ms , to avoid any pre-release price spikes.
11) SecBMO - Seconds Before News Which script Will Stop Modifying Orders; Now, once your order are placed, the script will follow the price movement and modify orders accordingly so that they are always exactly "TicksAway" Points away from the current price.
12) STWAN - Seconds To Wait After News to Delete/Cancel Pending Orders; this is the timer to cancel all the order that did not get triggered.
13) OCO - Order Cancel Other, true or false, will cancel the other pending order (after News Time) if one of them is filled; if this is set to true, when your buy orders get hit the corresponding sell orders will be cancelled, and vise versa, but without waiting for STWAN time.
14) BETicks - Ticks In profit which script will Move SL to Break Even + BEOffset; a nice way to lock in some profit. If you leave it at 0 nothing will happen.
15) BEOffset - Break Even Offset, number of ticks to move beyond Break Even (allows to cover Broker Commissions etc.)
16) TrailingStop - Trailing Stop; enter the amount of ticks you want your trailing stop to be and script will track all profitable orders. Setting to 0 disables trailing stops.
17) Quantity- Number of contracts for your orders;
