Bartimer issue

Hi,

My bartimer is very much off. For instance, on a 1min CL chart, I am seeing 19:21 left in the bar.. LOL.

On a 30min GC chart I am seeing 17mins left (and there should be less than 2 mins left... on a 6E 30mins chart I am seeing the correct 2 mins left.

Strange.

Anything I can go and reset? I have synced my clock and made sure that´s correct.

Was NinjaTrader shut down when you reset? If not, please try that now.

If NinjaTrader was shut down when you reset the clock, please try syncing to another server.

Just set up a new workspace, added new chart... same problem.

In your message, please include a link to this forum thread as well as a copy of today's trace file. You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need a copy of the 'trace.20130403.txt' file.

just re-started computer and then ninja again. Now all but 2 of the charts have the message "bar timer disabled since you are disconnected or curent time is outside session time or chart end date"...

The 2 which do have the bar timer are incorrect though, an hour has been added to both remaining times.

Have sent you the trace file.

OK. Upgraded to latest version of NT, .12

The BarTimer time remaining is now not so random, but still shows an error. All the bartimers have 1 hour added to them but they are counting down in correct time. I can live with it like this but would like to know why they all have 1 hour added to them.

Screenshots attached. This is a 1min and 30min chart, with 1 hour+ remaining, although the minutes remaining are correct!

Can you please run Windows Update. Subsequently reboot your computer. Navigate to the following folder and delete the "cache" folder.

C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db

Check if the issue remains. If so, could it be you have Windows XP?

If the issue remains after running Windows Update and rebooting the computer, please install the update at the link below.

bartimer doesnt work on my computer loaded with windows 8

For some reason the bartimer doesnt go into countdown mode when I add the indicator to my micro euro M6E chart. I've tried removing the bartimer indicator from my chart then reloading it back on, but the timer just stays stuck on 00:00:00

I have windows 8 on my laptop..


I just noticed something...if I change the instrument on the chart from M6E to E6, then the bartimer starts workingr but intermittenly.

....Now I changed the instrument to the swiss franc 6S and the bartimer works!!...WTF ???

The bar timer does NOT update when the bar timer is frozen. Also noticed that the session break line is showing there is just less then a min left before 6-12-13(midnight) when in fact the image of this chart was taken in real time around 3:15pm NY eastern time( 8 hours and 45 min off track). I checked the internet time and date on my laptop computer and they are both correct. Is it that my Ninja 7 program is not getting the proper time and date info from my laptop?..(they are "not on speaking terms" ?)

My laptop is... 1.7GHZ 6gb memory 500gb HD
CPU usage with 2 charts open(my typical setup) was between 4% and 12%

Is this chart receiving data during the time the bar timer is not updating?

Are new bars appearing on the chart every 5 minutes?

What session template is applied to this chart?
You can find the session template by right-clicking the chart, selecting Data Series... It will be under the label Data.

What time does the last bar on the chart show (also what time does your computer clock show)?
