Sim account reset - retrieve sim data (SDF file)

I use a sim account in parallel to live account as its the easiest
way of tracking raw performance with static position sizing (bar slippage).

I was just trying something on SIM and reset the SIM101 account without thinking...
I have a 3 month old SDF file and a week old global backup (file > utilities > backup).
The SIM SDF can be rebuilt using the 3 month old SDF file on replay data at 500x.
Haven't checked yet as I'm running a backup right now, but will the 1 week old global backup restore the SDF file?

Any other way to retrieve the data contained in the SDF file once sim account is reset?
I'm guessing no.
Annoyingly enough, my other test rig without a live license has 2 SDF files (current and one named old)
No such luck on my live license box (never got around to finding out why not).

1 week old backup being restored right now, see if that works, I can live with losing
1 week of data.

You will not be able to specify what data is restored. It will restore the entire backup as it was at that point.

NT Matthew, Confirmed, week old backup restored.
Can restore lost sim week with replay data.
So I've only lost 1 week of live trade data - under the circumstances I can live with that.
Think I'll set daily reminder for backups from now on though...
I'll do the replay rebuild now, ready for tomorrow.

All done, obviously the lost week that has been restored is on the replay 101
account, not the sim101 account.
I've made a note of that in journal.
So account performance tab > advanced > sim101 and replay 101 need to be checked
to monitor raw performance.
Think I'll start doing daily SDF backup from now on as well.
For anyone else reading this, all entirely my fault not Ninjas.
Moral of the story, keep regular or even daily backups
