    strategy doesnt "start"

    Hello,

there occurs the problem now that the strategy doesn´t "start" when enabled. But this occurs only in "not-USD-forex-pairs" eg EURCAD (and condition is only "flat" and "Ask()>Bid()" to do an entry immediately)

    ???

In the output there appear the following message once enabled:

    **NT** Enabling NinjaScript strategy 'a111xmSxpips/1cfce57ccdeb406685995a779cc99d8a' : On starting a real-time strategy - StrategySync=WaitUntilFlat SyncAccountPosition=False EntryHandling=UniqueEntries EntriesPerDirection=1 StopTargetHandling=PerEntryExecution ErrorHandling=StopStrategyCancelOrdersClosePositio ns ExitOnClose=True/ triggering 30 before close

    Set order quantity by=Strategy ConnectionLossHandling=KeepRunning DisconnectDelaySeconds=10 CancelEntryOrdersOnDisable=False CancelExitOrdersOnDisable=True CalculateOnBarClose=False MaxRestarts=4 in 5 minutes

Can you see with this what might be the issue?

    Thanks
    Tony

I don't see anything from the Output you posted that would disable the strategy.

Is there anything relevant in the Log tab of the Control Center? Is it failing to call OnBarUpdate or any other methods?

Does the strategy immediately disable, or does it remain running in the Strategies tab? If it's enabled, is the state Yellow or Green?

      Hello,

      thank you for your reply.

      * Log tab same info when enabling as in the output window (what I have posted)

      * there is no yellow background colored message in the log tab when enabled

      * strategy is remaining in the strategies tab enabled and colored green

      * but no entry - as it should be with "true concitions" flat and Ask()>Bid(). As it does the entry correct in EURUSD, GBPUSD, but not in EURCAD or GBPCAD or EURAUD....

      Thanks
      Tony

Who is the data provider you're using? Are you sure you have ask/bid data for these contracts?

Does it take position if you simplify the condition and check for if Close[0] > Close[1]?

Hello, thank you for your support!

Today in the morning (european time) it works. I have to find out what might be the reason. Thank you for your hint with Ask and Bid.

But another question in this concern please: sometimes it occurs that NinjaTrader doesn´t plot charts correctly or some strange issues with strategies. (EG yesterday also another strategy in all charts was disabled few minutes after enabling).

When this occurs and I do disabling all strategies and then restarting NT everything works fine again. (but this is not good during trading and having enabled a lot of strategies)

Is there something that should be made during the day to "clean up" maybe? Maybe a problem because of many charts (about 30 charts with minute and rangebars) and about 40 strategies (each setup own strategy). Could this cause a problem maybe?

          Thanks
          Tony

The amount of charts and strategies you're running is largely dependent on your PC resources.

I'd recommend closing out of any unnecessary charts, indicators or strategies to conserve these resources.

It's also advised to restart NinjaTrader when possible in order to clean up any objects tied in memory that may not be disposed.
