TT Fix

Hi,
What version of TT Fix does Ninja Trader support. I see in your release notes:

Updated 4700 TT adapter Update TTFIX42.xml for FIX adapter 7.8.0

Will it support 7.8 and if not when will this be available?

Hello azuric,

Unfortunately it does not mean FIX adapter 7.8 is used. The release notes report we just added handling for Fix 7.8. I do not have an ETA when Fix 7.8 will be supported and used.

I'm trying to use TT FIX 7.8. Ninja connects correctly and receives prices as expected. The only problem comes when I have to insert orders. The log says an Exchange Gateway must be provided. Therefore I went into the XML config file and tried to flag ExchangeGateway with Y. Now the order is submitted but it stays "Pending". Can you please tell me what I should modify in the config file or even better send an appropriate one?

Hello Antonio,

Can you please tell me at what broker you have your live account. What instrument did you try to trade?

Please disconnect TT and go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab and click Reset Instruments. Restart NinjaTrader and check if you are able to submit orders.

no I've got the same error. I'm trying to trade S&P, Gold, 6E etc.
As I said, when I tried to modify the XML config file something happened, as I was able at least to get a "Pending Submit" order instead of a complete rejection, so I guess this is something related to that file. I saw the file was changed in october 2012, can you please confirm that this is the last version? I've upgraded Ninja yesterday and migrated to FIX, is it possible that the TTFIX42 was kept instead of being updated as well?

Can you please tell me at what broker you have your live account. You can only submit orders to live accounts at supported broker partners.

NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.13 is the last version.

my broker is not a supported broker partner, but they put in place all the infrastructure for me to connect to TT FIX. Can you please explain why they should be a supported broker? Again I don't think this is related to the broker or TT, it is just the configuration file which should be changed to match TT 7.8 requirements.
