Market Aceleration Audio Alert

I´m thinking an indicator that shows that the market activity has accelerated compared to an average of recent activity?

At the moment for instance I have an EMA alert, it allows to define an audio alert if price moves so many ticks from the ema.... I set a fast ema, ie: 10; if price should rise or fall more than say 20 ticks from the fast ema, then it gives an audio alert as price must have spiked, it just is letting me know basically that the instrument in question is moving faster than it has been recently... Its a crude attempt at what I would really like, which is what i´m asking for on this thread, I don´t really know how to define it..

Ideas appreciated. Quite surprised if nothing apt is already available but can´t find anything.

Yes, I was suggesting you check this study out for your purposes to see if it suites you. You can of course amend as desired, it would be provided open code.
