    No market data for SIM engine

    Hi guys, I noticed a bug in the connection - I had NT up and running several hours before market open. I saw the connection to Kinetick showed as green, but when I went to submitted an order to sync my positions in the SIM account at 940am it gave me an error message:

    there is no market data available to drive sim engine.

    I then restarted NT and the data connection came back and I succesfully submitted the order. How do I tell whether I have a valid data connection?

    Hello EliteTraderNYC,

    You can check the Log tab of the Control Center to see if any messages are listed.

    Also you can see if you are receiving real time data.

    Please email your most current log and trace files to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com, so I may investigate this matter further.

    You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

    The log file will be named "log.20130429.txt"
    You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

    The trace file will be named "trace.20130429.txt"

    Once located send both files as an attachment. In the message put 'ATTN:Chris S and include a link to this forum topic.

        Hello,

        Please email your most current log and trace files to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com, so I may investigate this matter further.

        You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

        The log file will be named "log.20130820.txt"

        The trace file will be named "trace.20130820.txt"
