Problem with IB Data
I seem to have a lot of problems connecting NT to IB. I reinstalled NT, using my old license key. When I am connected to IB my chart on the ES, daily is okay until it hits 3/5/13. The next bar is 5/6/13 and is wicked long. I hit use IB for historical data, and I am connected to my paper trading account. when I disconnect and hit connect to external data feed, it seems OK. When I am connected to ext. data feed, where is this data coming from? Any help would be appreciated.Tags: None

The External connection is a DLL Interface, it provides 3rd party applications the ability to drive NinjaTrader with market data such as TradeStation.
When connected to IB can you please right mouse click within your chart then select "Reload all historical data".
If the issue persists can you tell me what version of TWS are you using? You can check under TWS -> Help -> About -> Scroll to the Build #.Christopher J.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Still some problems
Thanks for the input. I restarted NT this morning connected to IB, and and the chart seemed OK. Then I tried optimizing a strategy, and it started downloading data for the ES. It went on for about 3 mins., so I hit abort and everything froze. I Shut NT down and uninstalled it from the control panel, and reinstalled it intending to use a new license key, but when I started it, it was using the old lic. key and had all my strategies as if I hadn't uninstalled it. Whats Up??????????

If a basic uninstall was done via the Windows Control Panel this will not remove all NinjaTrader files such as Workspaces, Templates, etc. which are found within Documents-->NinjaTrader 7.
To rename your strategy please use the following steps:- Tools-
- Edit NinjaScript
- Strategy
- Double left mouse click on the strategy you would like to rename
- If the Strategy Wizard window opens click View Code
- Right mouse click within the code window
- Save As
- Name the strategy
- X out of the window
Next if you would like to delete the original you can do so within the Edit NinjaScript window.Christopher J.NinjaTrader Customer Service
