Connecting to Local Tick Data

Hey guys, I found ES Tick data. I unziped it and placed it in the NT 7/db/tick folders like

ES 03-09
ES 03-10
ES 03-11

Inside the folders there is Last.ntd ticks. How do I get NT to recognize the data?

Thank you for posting.

The imported data will be accessible from the Historical Data Manager, Tools>Historical Data Manager>Edit Tab.

The files in the db folder should have this format -

• 201305081600.Last.ntd

You check here to see that your data is being imported correctly and is available.

If the data is available you will be able to load the data on a chart.

Thanks a lot, I got it loaded, in my tick data for ES, I see that it has files like....

Ask.ntd
Last.ntd

But there is no Bid.ntd, will the tick data still work properly without the bid?

Hi Elitetradernyc,

The tick data will be fine, however the chart will not load the Bid data. You will still have Ask and Last prices being loaded though.
