    AOS synchronize problem

    Hello,

i have a problem with synchronization of my AOS strategies. After NT crash, NT shows on strategy tab on two of my strategie open positions, but there is no open position on Positions tab and of course no open position on my account.

When i use synchronize option when i edit strategy, it opens new long position, that i dont want.

After use of Reset db, these 2 positions are still shown as opened.

How i can persuade NT to forget these positions that does not exist.

    regards Tomas

    Hi Merlin997,

    Thanks for your note.

You may be able to clear the position by resetting the Sim101 account and then restarting NinjaTrader.
    • Click Tools -> Options -> Select the Simulator tab
    • Click the Reset... button -> Click OK to reset the Sim101 account
    • Restart NinjaTrader

If that doesn't fix it you will need to rename/delete your database file.

Rename your database by following the steps listed below. Doing so will cause NinjaTrader to create a new database on start up. Because of this, ATM strategy templates, session templates, custom instruments and instrument lists will need to be recreated.

    To rename the database:
    • Shutdown NinjaTrader
    • Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > DB folder
    • Right click on NinjaTrader.sdf and select "Rename"
    • Rename the file 'OLDNinjaTrader.sdf'
    • Finally, restart NinjaTrader

Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost:– ATM Strategy templates, Session templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments and historical trade execution data.

Please let me know if this does not help to resolve the inquiry or if I can provide any further assistance.

      Hello Chelsea,

but i am not operating on SIM account, i am writting about real account. Does your answer below take into account this fact?
Deleting sdf may work but i dont do this on my production live server. Any other advice?

thank you very much for your effort

        Hello Merlin997,

        Thanks for your reply.

I understand the issue a little better now. Currently I believe you have the Immediately submit live working historical orders option checked in the Options window.

When combined with Sync account position true, Immediately submit live working historical orders will attempt to make your account match the current position of the strategy and will not make the strategy go back to flat. This means if the strategy is long, when starting it will make your account long.

Setting this option to Wait until flat before executing live, and keeping the Sync account position true will cause the strategy to become flat, and will also make your account flat when the strategy starts.

Below is a link to a youtube video explaining this.

Also, here is a link to the help guide explaining this. (Wait until flat before executing live, Sync account position = true).

Please let me know if this does not correct the issue.
