Does ATM work well after PC shuts down?

Hi,
I've got a quick question regarding ATM, just want to know whether ATM still works after PC shuts down. I know stop loss and profit target surely work well after PC off, how about ATM and trailing stop strategy?

Hello Mybzi,

The AutoBreak even and AutoTrail would not function if your PC is shutdown or if NinjaTrader is not running because NinjaTrader is going to be modifying the orders on your brokers side.

Thanks JC, I get your points, PC shutdown only has impact on AutoBE and AutoTrail, but for ordinary ATM strategy, it still works ok after PC down, right?

Let's take an example, if a pending order with SL and TP is submit, what information would be passed to broker? The pending order itself? or also info of SL and TP? After PC shutdown, will pending order still be triggered if price hit pre-determined line? And how about SL and TP, also effective or not?

Hello,

Stop loss and profit target orders are not submitted to the broker until the entry order has filled. If an entry order was pending at the time NinjaTrader was shut down/disconnected, the software would not be able to send the protective orders after the entry order had filled.
