Kinetick EOD not correct?

Hi,

I was trying the Kinetick free EOD service with NT, but have trouble believing if the value as correct. I plotted the data series for lean hogs - july 13 and august 13. Both have the exactly same values for each day.

How is that possible? Am I doing someting wrong? Do I have to run some process to download data (I read that actual data are downloaded when I connect to Kinetick)? Or is the Kinetick wrong?

Hello antonek,

Thank you for writing in.

This is caused by the rollover date and merge settings for the 08-13 contract.

Because the rollover date for the HE 08-13 is 6/17/2013 your chart is using the HE 07-13 historical data.

Changing the merge policy to do not merge will give you an accurate view of the 08-13 contract. To do this:

• Click Tools -> Options... -> select the Data tab -> change the Merge policy: to DoNotMerge

Also because the volume is low on the HE 08-13 you most likely have not received an incoming tick to update the last price. Once an incoming tick comes in you should have an accurate last price for this contract.
