Charts of Backtest Results

Dear Ninjatrader

• After backtesting I’d like to analyze my trades in the charts. Are these charts only available for individual stocks? Once I click on the “COMBINED” row (total of all trades), these charts become unavailable. This is new NT installation so I couldn’t switch them off. If it’s not normal, please tell me how I can switch them back on. (They are available only for individual stocks). If this is normal, then it doesn’t make sense to me, it would be great to see all trades on those charts!

Also, I’m not sure I understand these charts:

• NET PROFIT/LOSS – is this a paper profit/loss at a given period in time?
• MAE – where is this chart best described?

I still have 2 questions outstanding though.

Hello ionaz,

You would only be able to view a chart with 1 Instrument selected. I will submit this suggestion for the enhancement of NinjaTrader to our product development team to be consideration for a future NinjaTrader release.

As for the Total Net Profit, yes this would be the cumulative profit of the strategy based on the Date range that was set.
