Import Tick Data into Ninjatrader- Fastest Process?

Is it possible when importing tick data back into NT to just grab each file that I exported and drop into into the db folder? Or do you have to go through the mind numbing meticulous process on doing an import for each front month using the importer in NT?

I was not sure if dropping it in folder which would be much faster could cause any issues?

All historical data imports in NinjaTrader 7 must take place using the Historical Data Manager's Import tab.
