Creating new instrument

Hi,

IB has S&P SGCI contract, but Ninjatrader hasn't. So I created new instrument
and linked it to IB SGCI ticker, but the chart "SGCI 07-2013" displays only 2 months almost.

What am I doing wrong? does it have to do with contracts expires cause I did not add any of them.

Are you referring to the GSCI index? If not please attach a screenshot of the S&P SGCI in your TWS platform to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

Simple Maybe Silly Question.

If I fix an indicator and have it on a template with the changes I made, can I make that Indicator somehow the default one?

ie I have the CCI Histogram fixed the way I want it with colors, width of lines. but it's part of a template. I would like to add it to a minute chart, but without using the template since my minute charts are clean (no moving averages, etc.) I would just like to add the CCI Histogram as the only indicator on minute charts, hence my question.

Ok, just saves me work and if I can have it as the default Indicator, it would be nice so asking.

You can do this by right clicking int he parameters that you just set and selecting 'SetDefaultFor'Indicator''.

What period type and interval are you using on the NinjaTrader chart? Example: 1 Day

When you right click in the chart > select Data Series > what is the Session Template set to?

The chart displays 10 days exactly and only .

If you increase this do you see additional data?

720 days is the default saved period for my daily charts ( 2 year maximum allowed IB).

This will come down to the data that is available from the API used for TWS in NinjaTrader. If there is no more data to load then it will load the data.

I opened a chart within TWS and it shows only few days as well... have to check with IB
