Problems installing NinjaTrader in Parallels

Hi,

I installed NinjaTrader(latest version from website) through Parallels on my Mac with previously disabling sharing mac folders as suggested.

Installation went fine and when I run the NT (both x64 and x86 versions) I get the intro screen with notice on loading various parts of the software but then intro screen disappears and nothing else happens even minutes afterwards.

I tried restarting the Parallels and tried to run it couple more time but without any success, the same thing keeps happening.

Can you help me on this?

Hello msabljic,

How long do you wait for NinjaTrader to come up when starting?

The trace file seems to end while NinjaTrader is connecting to your data provider due to the connect at startup option being checked for this provider.

This means NinjaTrader will attempt to fully connect to your provider before the program opens all the way. This will take a few minutes to happen.

As a test I would like you to start NinjaTrader without connecting to your provider.

To do this I would like you to rename your config.xml file.

Please:

• Ensure NinjaTrader is fully shut-down
• Within Windows navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\
• Rename the config.xml file to config.old.xml
• Restart NinjaTrader
• Enter your license key (or the free license key) when prompted

At this point let me know if NinjaTrader is still not able to fully launch.

After this test, shut-down NinjaTrader again, remove the new config.xml file that has appeared and rename config.old.xml to config.xml to return your settings.
